I cannot believe there are still chairs in there.

Found one in Charlottesville.
We almost stopped to document it for you...but didn't.
Know that there is one there though.

I bet it still has chairs in it too.

I used to live across the street from this ChiChis, after it was already creepy and abandoned. It's cool to see the pic here.

My wife used to work in this restaurant when she was an intern in D.C. living near Landmark in the mid-1990s. She was a hostess and read in the employee handbook that female employees' shoes were to match their uniforms. She couldn't find any heels in the color of her maroon skirt, so she had some dyed to match. On her first day of work she learned that Chi Chi's didn't actually enforce the rule. She was the only employee with matching skirt and shoes.

She also had an odd episode one night where some creepy middle-aged guy came in started starring at her--he wasn't interested in a table. She went and hid in the back.

I guess even in the mid-90s business was pretty slow at this location. My wife spent a lot of evenings rolling silverware in napkins.

I was just in Minneapolis for a wedding and came across an abandoned Chi-Chi's in Brooklyn Center. My wife would not let me get out of the car to take pictures. I really wanted to look in the windows to see if there were still chairs in there. I am guessing they haven't redeveloped the site because it is in a pretty bad location. It is right off of 694, but there is nothing around it other than our hotel and some random office type buildings.

I was just visiting Landmark Mall last weekend (March 7, 2010), and the giant Chi-Chi's sign was still there, visible from the mall.

I still live in Alexandria right across the street from this location.. last I saw it was some kind of middle-eastern restaurant. Talk about shifting gears. I use to love going here as a kid and it was always really special for me..If I remember correctly there was a Bennigan's here before it was a chichi's..or maybe it was next door? I have a memory of walking over to the fenced off area overlooking Duke st. down below with my brother when bennigan's was here.
